Aisha Hinds is an American actress best well-known for her performances in the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her introduction in 2003, she has proven her versatility as an actress by giving remarkable performances in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. The role she played as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to draw her the attention of viewers. In reality, it was her role as the feminist Fannie Lou Hamer, in the biography film All the Way that finally made her an actor. Her portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was also highly appreciated. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show to air a new season.
