Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is an actress and model. Following her small debut part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985), she went onto play the Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte was in Taffin (in 1998) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody began modelling after being offered by an experienced photographer. It led to an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule she carried over to her acting. After being noticed by the directors who were casting an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Still only 18 as she played the role Doody was, and still is - the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the 1988 movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud called The Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's character. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody played a role in the 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony for an award. In 2004, she appeared in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Later, she guest-starred on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was scheduled to also play the lead role in the remake of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. The actress began her two seasons on the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
