Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on the 6th of November in 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone
(nee Yeager), a homemaker , and Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a
contractor company founder and CEO. She is of Swedish as well as British Isles heritage.
Stone began her acting career in her youth as an Valley Youth Theatre member in
Phoenix, Arizona. She made her stage debut in the play of Kenneth Grahame
"The Wind in the Willows." In her teens Stone was part of numerous
productions until she made the decision to make acting her career. As per the
official story she was the one who presented a PowerPoint slide presentation
that was made possible by Madonna's Hollywood and was dubbed "Project
Hollywood" in an attempt to convince her parents and let her to leave
school and move to Los Angeles. She and her mother made the pitch and made the
move to LA. Her education was completed at home and she spent the time
auditioning. Her TV breakthrough when she won the role of Laurie Partridge in
the VH1 reality show based on a talent show In Search of the Partridge Family
(2004) that led to several small TV roles in the following years. Her film
debut was as Jules in Superbad (2007) and, after a string of great
performances, her lead part in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her
as a star. Attended Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona. Although
she's known as a redhead, her natural hair shade is blonde. Judd Apatow was the
one who suggested she change her hair's color for Superbad (2007). The film was
so well received that she decided to keep her hair. She persuaded her parents
to let her move to Hollywood when she turned 15 by creating an PowerPoint
presentation that was appropriately titled Project Hollywood. She began acting
at 11 years old at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here she performed on more
than 16 stages as well as performed in the comedy improv troupe of the theatre.
